Who We Are
The Oromoo Research Association (ORA) was founded in 2022 by 33 individuals, comprised of intellectuals and businesspeople. It was conceived years back by a few researchers and concerned individuals to have Oromoo-branded institutions that can synergize, support, and promote Oromoo researchers rooted in Oromoo perspectives. The Oromoo Research Association is a non-governmental organization licensed by the Oromiyaa Justice & Attorney General's Office. The governance structures constituted the General Assembly, the Board of Directors, the Association CEOs, and three department directorates.
